We are Yuva Mitra Foundation

Yuva Mitra Foundation is a NGO that aspires to eliminate the challenges of Urban-slum specifically in Pune. Our key focus is youth strengthening and women empowerment.

Why Matters?

Women

Women India’s sex ratio in 2023 is 1,020 females per 1,000 males. The sex ratio in rural areas is 985 females to 1,000 males, and in urban areas, it’s 985 females to 1,000 males. Women’s population is almost 50% within India. unfortunately, gender disparity dosen’t promote inclusive growth in India. In today’s ratio women’s contribution to GDP is around 18% out of 48% of their population. According to the Ministry of Labour and Employment & Directorate General of Employment(2023),44% population of women are not in labour force due to child care and homemaking responsibilities. Factors such as Unpaid domestic duties and Unpaid care are still concerns about unproductive costs. If we look into Indian sociology it becomes more clear how the Caste and category-wise loud and terrible exploitative nature of patriarchal sense takes place.Considering these socio-economic circumstences for eliminate this gap, infrastructural steps are necessesary

Youth

India is the most populated country in the world, has more than 50% of its population below the age of 25 and more than 65% below the age of 35. According to UNFPA projections, India will continue to have one of the youngest populations in the world till 2030. India is experiencing a demographic window of opportunity, a “youth bulge” that will last till 2025. It has been observed that India has a consistently upward curve of unemployment rate amongst youth from left to right. Despite having youth population we are failled to succced in channelizing youth into labour force. India is at early phase of recovery but the GDP contribution of sectorwise have wide range of gap between manufacturing and service. That means producing enough goods for a given proportionate of the population is requirement country like India. To promote manufacturing and innovation is urge of the today’s time.
